This Privacy Policy explains how howismy.site ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use howismy.site (the "Service").
1. Information we collect
When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. When you run an audit, we collect the company name or domain you submit. When you make a purchase, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details ourselves.
2. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account
- To run audits and store your audit history so you can access past results
- To process payments for credits, recommendations, and Agency subscriptions
- To send transactional emails such as account confirmation and password resets
- To contact you about your audit results or respond to support requests

When you run an audit, the company name you submit is sent to these AI providers as part of generating your results. We do not send your personal account information (name, email, password) to these AI providers.
4. Agency plan and client data
If you use the Agency plan, you may create client profiles and share branded dashboard links with your own clients. Anyone with a valid shareable link can view that client's audit progress data. You are responsible for managing who you share these links with. We do not independently verify the identity of anyone accessing a shared client link.
5. Data retention
We retain your account information and audit history for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
6. Cookies and tracking
We use essential cookies and browser local storage required for account login sessions to function. We do not currently use third-party advertising or analytics tracking cookies.
7. Data security
We use industry-standard practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access-controlled databases. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
8. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us via the link on our FAQ page. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable data protection law.
9. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed at individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
